ProPell low friction compounds use a proprietary, non-migratory additive that enhances the surface of parts without substantially altering the physical properties of the polymer. Tests show that parts produced from ProPell TPU have a dry coefficient of friction of 0.05, representing a 66% reduction compared to the unmodified TPU polymer with a hardness of 80 Shore A.

  • RFI/EMI Shielding is produced in many different shapes and sizes but the ever steady march towards miniaturization means that they aren't generally getting larger.  Fotofab's unique process is particularly well suited to making small things. For a standard formed can (without a trimming operation) we can produce shields with a minimum internal height of .024"(.61mm) with a wall thickness of .008" (0.2mm) and with a secondary trimming operation we are able to produce RF Shields with a minimum internal height of .010" (.254mm) with a wall thickness of .008"(0.2mm).

    Thinner or thicker materials may be specified for any shielding can but in general we recommend that you stay below .010"(.25mm) for small or low profile cans.  It helps with bending but thinner material also takes up less space and has less mass.

    Pearson Electronics has recently designed several new thin current transformers with a thickness of approximately half the size of the stock current transformers. The new thin Model 8105-03 is shown next to our stock Model 2878. The new design allows a more compact installation resulting in lower circuit inductance.
    These thin designs incorporate Pearson’s wide-band frequency response and 1% accuracy, or better, across the mid-band. The model 8105-03 has a 0.25 inch aperture, 0.1 V/ transfer impedance and a 3 dB bandwidth from 50Hz to 40MHz. The maximum rms current rating is 6 Amperes. Peak currents up to 300 Amperes and rise times as short as 5 nanoseconds can be viewed faithfully. The new line also includes the Model 6535-03 and 7713-03.
